“ONLINE WELLNESS ASSOCIATION understands that the healing professions are entering the 21^st Century by building practices online to offer services. ONLINE WELLNESS ASSOCIATION recognizes the internet as a way of offering services worldwide; often, where there are no services presently available for those people in need of healing services.  In addition, ONLINE WELLNESS ASSOCIATION understands that it is important for professionals in the healing fields be identified as “legitimate professionals” as practices are established on the world of the internet.  Therefore, ONLINE WELLNESS ASSOCIATION’S goal is to provide a SAFEplatform for practitioners to build successful practices online AND for potential clients to feel safe when choosing a practitioner.  The ONLINE WELLNESS ASSOCIATION’S SEAL OF APPROVAL will be an indicator of authenticity and validity between practitioner and client.”

DOUGLAS INTERNATIONAL is an integral partner for ensuring the SAFETY of the ONLINE WELLNESS ASSOCIATION platform. We are the third party single source background screeners for all OWA applicants. DOUGLAS INTERNATIONAL maintains total confidentiality of all background checks. Screening includes:

-Federal Criminal Record Search

-National Criminal Offender Database

-Sexual Offender Registry Check

-County-Level Criminal Record Searches

-Suspected Terrorist Watch List

I believe in the concept that OWA is formed to promote, which is to provide a safe and secure forum for the exchange of health and wellness. Everyone involved contributes in their own way to the evolution of the concept.

The Internet has evolved into its own environment, having potential toxic or harmful effects / consequences from inappropriate use. These potential consequences warrant prudent due diligence and adequate investigation in order to rely upon safe and secure activity in this exponentially large 21^st century environment.

Douglas International provides specific background checks on all applicants to the Online Wellness Association. Confidentiality is of the utmost importance. We are committed to helping provide a safe platform where clients and practitioners can interact.
